Developing concepts

For a successful innovation we need to find viable concepts. A concept may be a way to improve the information environment or to improve the IT environment. ADVICOM begins with studying the situation of the organization. The survey of the situation of the organization can be used to find improvements. Finding these improvements can be done by looking at bottlenecks in the situation found or by looking at how new technological possibilities can be used.

Usually innovation is directed at the existing products and services of an organization. ADVICOM specifically also looks at new products and services. New ways of information gathering, e.g. used for business intelligence, can enable new ways of conducting business. Innovation can become very complex in this way. In order to do it properly we worked out a method. For this method we used the innovation method 'VOORT' of Gijs van Wulfen as an example.
